I am involved in a motor vehicle accident. What do I do next?

NOTIFY YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident you should immediately call my office at (617) 523-2929 and make an appointment. There are no costs or expenses to you to hire me to represent you for your vehicle accident claim.

SETUP NO-FAULT BENEFIT CLAIM WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY

Following your motor vehicle accident, my office will contact your automobile insurance company and setup a no-fault benefit claim. Automobile no-fault benefits pay for medical bills for injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident and also reimburse 75% of lost wages if you are unable to work.

If you have personal health insurance, the no-fault benefit insurance company will pay $2,000.00 of your medical bills and then medical bills will be summited to your personal health insurance for payment. This is call a coordination of benefits and payments between your automobile no-fault insurance care and your personal health insurance.

As your attorney, my office will obtain all medical records and bills related to this accident and process your bills for payment through the no-fault benefit claim.

FILE A BODILY INJURY CLAIM

If you are determined to be less then 50% at fault in the motor vehicle accident, and you accumulate $2,000.00 in medical bills for injuries sustained in this accident, and/or have sustained a fracture or laceration from the accident, my office will file a bodily injury claim on your behalf against the automobile insurance company of the other vehicle involved in this accident.

Once you have completed medical treatment for the injuries sustained in this accident, my office will send all medical records and bills to the bodily injury insurance company along with a monetary figure we are asking to settle your case. My office has settled thousands of bodily injury claims in the past for significant amounts of money and look forward to doing the same when representing you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SETTLEMENT IS NOT POSSIBLE?

If we are unable to settle your bodily injury claim with the insurance company, a lawsuit will need to be filed in a local court.

At this point, the bodily injury insurance company will hire an attorney who represents them and I will now work with that attorney to attempt to settle your claim.

Call me to find out how I can help you with your motor vehicle accident case.
